Lose Weight

As I said above, there are no gimmicks or tricks here. Just 3 easy ways you can get fit and stay there. No pills, no special exclusionary diets, no fads period.

Let’s just see how easy it is to lose weight and be fit!

3 Best Ways to Be Fit and Lose Weight, Now!

1 – Move more.

No matter how active you currently are, if you want to lose weight and get into better shape, you’ll have to move more. This can be had a plethora of ways but requires some bit of work on your part. It’s easy to just not do it, especially if you do move a lot throughout the day. But if you want to lose weight, you’ll have to keep your focus and get out there and simply move more.

2 – Eat less.

Another seemingly simple way to lose weight; however it can be a scary thing to have to concentrate on eating less. But you have to. You have to be diligent about what you are putting in your mouth if you are looking to drop pounds. You may not have to quash certain items from your daily diet, but you will have to eat less of them. Find a healthy balance and focus on the end goal – being healthy!

3 quick tips for eating less:

  • Use a smaller plate. A simple trick (no gimmick) to keep your portions smaller.
  • Measure your portions with care, balancing your protein with your veggies and carbs. Your plate should look something like this:

  • Stop eating when you are full. Period. If you’ve left food on your plate, it’s absolutely acceptable in order to remain guilt-free and away from a stuffed belly.

3 – Hydrate.

It is so important to make sure you are getting in your water, daily. You should be drinking no less than 64 ounces of water per day. Some experts say that consuming at least half your body weight in ounces, daily, is helpful for losing weight and keeping your body functioning at peak performance.

And that’s it. Move more, eat less, and stay hydrated. I know. It seems a whole lot easier to tell you than for you (or me or anyone) to actually trust this plan to lose weight and be fit. But if you are armed with a working metabolism and you stay focused, you can achieve your goals in regard to your total body wellness. Easy or hard, you decide. Then simply do it. Your mind, body, and spirit will thank you.

  1. These are such important tips to help lose weight! I drink plenty of water, and get moving. But sometimes I get the terrible cravings and think I need to eat more food. Cutting back and fighting the cravings is hard but really works for weight loss.

  2. Great tips but one more needs to be added…get support, whether it be a friend, relative or someone on the internet. Everyone needs someone to help you through the hard days.

    • That’s a great tip, Maria. Whether it be workout partner or someone to vent, it is necessary. I just may turn that into a blog post. Thanks. 🙂

  3. You asked for three great tips for losing weight. My best three tips would be:
    Portion control
    drink lots of water

  4. Thank God I never had a weight problem…for 30 years I have maintained my average weight 200lbs at 6’2 and 54 years old! Still lean and mean and eat like a growing boy…still!
