Goal #1 – Prepping Breakfast

So, about that goal, eating breakfast every day… Yesterday morning I had this. Oatmeal with craisins and almonds. I also added a scoop of vanilla protein powder. It was DELICIOUS! Today, I had oatmeal again, this time I prepped an overnight blend with steel cut oats, flax seeds, cinnamon, 1/2 cup of frozen blueberries and a scoop of protein powder. Again, so yummy! Goal #1 – The Place to Start for Me

This visual represents some of my thoughts lately, so per the suggestion of my friend Rik, I’ve really been giving a lot of thought to goals and simply put, I keep coming back to nutrition again and again. I’m fairly active, and although the intensity varies, I generally do something physical every day. However, my eating is terrible! I am very inconsistent with the nutrition, and often skip meals. 7/14/15 – Workout Proof

Workout Proof 7/14/15 – Because life does interfere sometimes, I spent the majority of my day in the process of redoing my kitchen – stripping and refinishing cabinets, prepping for wainscoting, painting, etc, so I didn’t get as many steps in across the morning as I generally do. BUT, no excuses, my daily goal remains 15,000, so I left my house around 7:00 and hoofed downtown and across the Casco Bay Bridge. Total distance was just under 7. Tonight was miserable, plain and simple, it was just miserable. The ball of my left foot is really sore because I did 7+ miles yesterday in the wrong sneakers, so I had that to contend with, but in all honestly, my head just wasn’t in it tonight. The other issue I keep coming up against, and NEED to formally address, is finding an appropriate and structured training plan that I can follow.
